Biography:
David has been around and involved in sports his entire life. Both as a player and a coach. David attended Lakeside High School, from there played college football at the University of Virginia and one year at Western Carolina, from there played five years professionally. Since hanging up the cleats in 2005 David has coached youth sports for the past twelve years including Pop Warner football, Complete Game baseball, rec baseball, church league basketball, and youth soccer. Coaching at EDS since the winter of 2015 - Football, Basketball, and Baseball
Coach Carter has lived in Augusta his entire life and attended Richmond Academy, where he played basketball for the Musketeers. He enjoyed playing football, basketball, baseball, and track growing up. In addition to coaching basketball, he also coaches softball and umpires baseball and softball games. He and his wife, Tiffany, have three great-kids, Liana, Leila, and Wayne Jr., and two granddaughters, Saylor and Cali.
