Biography:

This is Coach Cooks’ sixth year of coaching with EDS. He is a graduate of Delaware State University with a degree in Business and Marketing. He is married to Sara, a Philadelphia native, and they have three children. The Cooks family has proudly lived in Augusta for the past 14 years. His coaching philosophy is simple: Coach young people to love the game and work hard.  

Biography:

Brittney Jones is from Augusta GA. Brittney is in her first season as an Assistant JV and Varsity coach after spending the past four years as a Head Coach for AAU girls Basketball for Georgia Sting organization. She also works for Eddie Bussey State Farm Insurance in Hephzibah, GA.

She is a graduate of Academy of Richmond County. She played basketball for ARC and received a full scholarship to play basketball for Allen University in Columbia SC. She was a captain her sophomore year and received many awards from her time being with Allen University women’s basketball team. She had to end her season early before she graduated from Allen University and transferred back home to finish her college studies at Paine College with a Business Degree in May 2012. She also started coaching in 2011 as a head coach for AAU Georgia Sting girls’ basketball.

She had an extensive playing experience, playing high school basketball at ARC, where she was a point guard and shooting guard as well as the team captain her senior year. She received many awards throughout her high school career and also was a part of the 1,000 point scoring club.
